Dear Members and Friends of St. Theodore’s!

As you know, I have been serving since last August at our little parish on the east side, Sts. Raphael, Nicholas and Irene. They have no priest at the moment, and are served by Fr. Demetrios who flies in from Winnipeg once a month. With the Metropolitan’s permission I have been filling in between time.

Last week, I was asked if I would be available for Nativity services. At first I declined, saying that I “could not abandon my flock” at St.Theodore’s. Since then, however, several members of St. Theodore’s who live on the east side of Toronto, have persuaded me to accept to do the Christmas Eve services. This may inconvenience those of us who feel we can’t attend Sts. Raphael, Nicholas and Irene, but it will make the difference in whether this small parish is able to have Christmas services at all.

I hope that those of us who do not live on the east side of Toronto will be willing to make the effort to come to this beautiful little church at Mortimer and Glebemount. Maps will be provided in the coming weeks for those who are not sure of the location. Language is not an issue for this little church; I serve in English while the chanters respond in both English and Greek.

Thanking all the friends and members of St. Theodore’s for their understanding,

In Our Lord,

Fr. David
